APPLICATION SEGMENT

COMMUNICATION

The PROFINET and Ethernet/IP communication boards are powerful and versatile, helping network designers to face the challenges of the modern OT/IT integration. Adding a ModBus TCP/IP socket, they allow one or more drives to be connected to the configuration software on PC, locally or remotely, without disrupting the active communication with the controller.

OPTIONAL BOARDS

The drive’s control hardware accommodates up to three slots for the installation of optional boards:

  • Encoder boards (incremental, Sin/Cos, absolute)
  • I/O Expansions (digital and analog)
  • FastLink drive-to-drive synchronous communication
  • Industrial Fieldbus

If needed by the application, up to three encoder boards can be installed in the same drive.

WEG_eXpress

WEG_eXpress is the software configuration tool for the ADV200 drives family.

The software can display the drive parameters either as a list or in diagram form.

It includes wizards for a quick and intuitive configuration as well as graphical tools for supporting and simplifying the commissioning of the drives and the maintenance operations.

It is available in 5 languages.

MULTIWINDING OPERATION

ADV200 is capable of controlling motors with multiple stator windings, extending the range of manageable motor power. For instance, in the case of a dual-winding motor, employing two separate drives—one for each winding—enables the maximum power capacity to be doubled, reaching up to 3.2 MW in HD. The presence of a motor encoder is mandatory in this case.
