Petrobahia is one of the leading distributors of fuels and energy solutions in Brazil. Recognized for its technological innovation and commitment to quality, it operates in various sectors, including gas stations, agribusiness, industries, and others.
In this context, WEG, globally recognized as a leader in providing electrical equipment solutions, was chosen to supply a series of dry-type transformers with an IP-00 protection rating, totaling over 2 MVA of power for Petrobahia’s electrical infrastructure. These units are crucial to ensure a reliable and efficient energy supply for the fuel distributor’s operations.
The transformers were delivered in early 2025 in Itabuna, state of Bahia and will be responsible for stepping down the voltage of the electrical grid, ensuring the quality of the energy supplied to the customer’s various installations, allowing continuous and proper operation of electrical loads in each of its applications.
This strategic investment in electrical infrastructure strengthens Petrobahia’s ability to meet the growing market demands, consolidating its leadership position in the fuel distribution and energy solutions sector in Brazil. For WEG, its involvement in this project highlights its capacity to meet diverse demands across various regions of Brazil. In this way, both companies position themselves solidly to face market challenges and continue driving the development of the Brazilian energy sector.
