The demand for increasingly efficient solutions is a priority for companies that seek to maintain or increase their production capacity by consuming fewer resources and in a more conscious way. This is the case of Aluar, a company located in Argentina, which recently chose WEG solutions to replace existing transformers at its aluminum production plant.

To add even more reliability to the plant that produces tons of aluminum every year, the customer purchased two WEG transformers for rectifiers with a power of 3,112 kVA (each). Such transformers are designed following the criteria established by IEC 60076 and can meet the specific requirements of a given application. In this case, they will work on the conversion of the necessary electrical voltage for the plant.

The transformers were manufactured at the WEG unit located in the city of Blumenau (SC) in Brazil and will be delivered in the first half of 2023, at the primary industrial unit of ALUAR, located in Puerto Madryn, Chubut, Argentina. Market leader in Brazil, WEG meets the necessary requirements for different applications and configurations. The verticalization of the manufacturing processes is a remarkable characteristic and advantage of WEG, allowing broad quality control of the different production phases, as well as flexibility of lead times.
