Harry Schmelzer Jr., is graduated in Electrical Engineering and post graduated in Business Administration, with specialization in Management and Finance from Fundação Dom Cabral, Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University, (USA), Insead (France) and IMD International (Switzerland).

Working for WEG since 1981, the executive had the opportunity to know all the company's businesses very close, working in the Engineering department, Application of Electrical Machines, he was Head of Technical Sales, Head of Process Application, Sales Manager of WEG Acionamentos (former production unit of switch and controlgear), Commercial Director of WEG Acionamentos, Managing Director of WEG Acionamentos, Managing Director of WEG Motores and Regional Director for Europe until he took over the Executive Presidency of the WEG Group in 2008.
