A key contract has been awarded to WEG Electric CIS, one of the WEG Group subsidiaries, for the supply of 2 x Tube-cooled Flameproof, 710 H/G frame size electric motors. Designed and manufactured in the Maia facility, these motors drive fans intended for installation on the main ventilation system of this mine.
The fans of this ventilation system are supplied by Artemovskij machine-buiding plant "Ventprom", one of the ventilation system leaders in the Eurasian continent.
The main features of these tube-cooled flameproof motors include:
- 2400 kW, 710 H/G, 8 poles, 6000 V, 50 Hz, B3L (D);
- Ex I M2 Ex "d" IM T4 Mb PB Ex d IM T4 (classification intended for underground coal mining application);
- EACEx / TR CU Certification;
- Features to offer extended lifetime, low-cost operation throughout the life cycle and high adaptability to extreme operating and maintenance conditions.
One of the major points of this project was also the supply of a special bearings arrangement suitable to withstand the application high loads and inertia.
WEG's premium performance on this project enabled relationship strengthening the long-lasting partnership with Ventprom, resulting in positive gains for the end user.
