WEG, one of the largest manufacturers of electro-electronic equipment in the world, with headquarters in Brazil, has joined the Latin American Association for Desalination and Water Reuse (ALADYR) as a new member. The company's goal is to continue growing in the water sector with partners who promote and expand desalination and reuse as real options to achieve universal access to drinking water for all
ALADYR is a non-profit trade association, the most important reference in Latin America in terms of desalination, reuse and treatment of water and effluents. Founded in November 2010, within the framework of the II International Desalination Seminar in the city of Antofagasta, Chile, the association fosters the development, promotion and gathering of timely knowledge on technologies for desalination, reuse and treatment of water and effluents, based on the provision of information exchange spaces that promote strategic alliances, projects and initiatives aimed at guaranteeing access to drinking water in Latin America under standards of sustainability, efficiency and social future.
As the main player, WEG provides the water sector with the most efficient and profitable electrical solutions, also working on the most demanding projects and works in energy efficiency around the world. Our knowledge and cutting-edge technologies guarantee the best electrical design when engineers and operators want to guarantee high levels of efficiency and low operating costs in their plants and processes. With more than 1,200 service centers around the world, WEG has the experience and capability to offer local support on five continents.
This new milestone in the water business line coincides with the launch of the WEG Motor Specialist, a Motion Fleet Management asset management software module that, through artificial intelligence and Machine Learning, performs automatic fault diagnoses, such as imbalance or misalignment. of electric motors, as well as load and consumption indicators. This new system works on water treatment infrastructures, helping in the operation and maintenance of plants and optimizing asset management.
With this new participation in ALADYR, WEG wish to continue providing solutions for the water sector in Latin America, and collaborate with other partners to improve water supply throughout the region.
