WEG was one of thirteen Brazilian companies to make The Boston Consulting Groups (BCG) ranking of the 100 most globalized companies in the world. The American consulting company listed only the top companies that are driving global growth.

The BCG list has been prepared yearly since 2006 and is part of the Global ChallengersSeries, which identifies the world's companies that have increased their annual income 18%, expanded their job opportunities by 32%, and provided their shareholders with an annual return of approximately 15%.

In addition to WEG, twelve other Brazilian companies are included in the report: BRF, Camargo Corrêa Group, Embraer, Gerdau, Iochpe-Maxion, JBS, Marcopolo, Natura, Odebrecht Group, Petrobras, Votorantim Group and Tigre.
