WEG, a leading worldwide provider of automation and control technology, will be presenting its extensive range of highly efficient gearboxes, motors and drives at this year’s Hillhead show in Hillhead Quarry (stand PB27). Visitors to the stand will be able to see WEG’s wide range of robust and energy efficient equipment for power transmission and the drive chain as well as meeting experts to learn more about how to reduce energy usage and optimise their quarrying, mining and construction processes.

On display will be a selection of WEG’s gearboxes for the first time at Hillhead. WEG offers a comprehensive modular gearmotor range of up to 20 k Nm and WEG Cestari’s industrial gear units deliver 1.5 million Nm. The company’s machines are built from robust cast iron material and are designed especially to give reliable high performance in heavy-duty applications and to withstand the harsh conditions found in quarrying, mining and construction environments.

WEG, who provides the widest range of energy efficient motors currently available on the market, will also be exhibiting its line of High Voltage and Low Voltage motors in its W22 range, which is available in energy ratings IE3, IE4 and IE5. In addition, its new standard industrial motors with the W40, W50 and W60 series will be shown. Thanks to the optimised design, the new compact three-phase induction motors deliver reliable high performance even under adverse conditions.

Complementing the gears and motors on display is a complete range of inverter drives including the CFW501 and CFW701 series. Other drives on the stand will be the CRW08 Wash and the leading CFW11 modular drive. The CFW11 is a System Drive designed with high-tech features built in. The VSD is fitted with Plug and Play technology and can automatically recognize and set accessories. The drives are available in power ratings from 1,1 to 370 kW and are ideal for applications within cement and mining, chemical and petrochemical, elevation, and process machining sectors.
