It has been a long journey for WEG to spread the lean culture throughout the factory and implement improvement projects. After more than 10 years, the company’s production units had developed and matured enough to make it possible to fulfill an old dream of connecting all the product manufacturing processes. This is the beginning of the concept for Integrated Manufacturing Lines.
For WEG, being selected to participate in the global award is a great honor which demonstrates our ability to continuously improve and implement processes according to the lean philosophy. As a result of teamwork, significant gains were achieved in productivity, lead time and quality indicators.
