WEG has partnered with KIA Brazil and became an approved partner for the supply of charging solutions for the automaker's customers, who launched the new EV5, the brand's first 100% electric model for the Brazilian market.
The agreement includes the delivery of WEMOB® WALL model charging stations for the first 300 customers who purchase the EV5. AC (alternating current) charging stations and fast DC (direct current) charging stations of 30, 40, 60, and 80kW are also available among the approved products.
At dealerships, WALL and PARKING model charging stations will be installed, allowing charging at 7.4kW and 22kW, respectively, enabling the brand's customers to interact with the products. These models are designed to meet the demand for semi-fast charging of electric vehicles, ensuring that customers can enjoy fast and safe service during their visits to workshops.
The WALL and PARKING models are smart, ideal for homes, condominiums, and commercial establishments, with the ability to connect to the internet and management platforms for billing or consumption sharing for each user. In addition, they allow access control via proximity cards (RFID tags) or mobile apps, enabling energy demand control through the WEMOB® Smart Charging System. The technology available in the charger also allows the use of an app for monitoring, enabling KIA customers to view the charging station information in real-time and in the palm of their hand through the WEMOB® EV Drivers smartphone app, with mirroring on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for electric vehicles.
