WEG was awarded with a contract for the expansion of Bracell's pulp factory, for the supply of a complete solution package which includes all motors, electrical panels, transformers and inverters, with more than 6,300 products manufactured and delivered by the company.
For the conclusion of this project, Bracell made one of the biggest investments in the last 20 years in the state of São Paulo and selected the best in terms of technologies, aiming at a self-sufficient business in energy, becoming the largest pulp bioindustry in the world. Located in the city of Lençóis Paulista, state of São Paulo, the factory that spans two municipalities promotes development and also expands opportunities in the region.
WEG was chosen to be part of this great project as it is a manufacturer of integrated and customized solutions, applying its own technology developed by its technical staff, always seeking to meet the specific requirements of the customer.
The scope of supply includes the W22, W50 and W60 motor lines, already consolidated in the market, featuring high efficiency, flexibility, robustness and reliability. Over 1,400 motors were supplied with a special painting plan to withstand the corrosive environment of a pulp plant and meet a wide range of applications such as choppers, refiners, pumps, dryers, blowers and exhausters.
When selecting WEG, Bracell also took into account the solution for compact electrical panels, the CCM 06 line, which reduced the space in the e-House and, consequently, investments in civil works. In addition, the entire field service was provided by WEG with commissioning and start-up of the equipment.
This supply reinforces WEG's potential to export technologies to the pulp and paper segment, in addition to contributing to consolidate Brazil as one of the largest pulp producers in the world.
