Harry Schmelzer Jr., CEO of the WEG Group, won the Executive of the Year award, for the tenth consecutive time, in the Industrial Machinery and Equipment category.

Hosted by the Brazilian financial newspaper, Valor Econômico, the award elects the best executives from 23 market sectors. The selection process is based on corporate management of certain number of executives over 2017, with focus on performance results, identification of innovation opportunities and growth rate, reputation of each executive in the market, and their adaptability to different industrial sectors and companies.

This is the tenth time that Harry has won the prize and the 15th time that WEG has won the distinguished place in this ranking.

"WEG will continue its mission which is stated as “continuous and sustainable growth while maintaining simplicity”. For this, we will keep investing on innovation, expanding the business at global level and offer Human Resources development", says Harry.

The awarding ceremony took place on May 28, 2018 in São Paulo.
