This past week, WEG received the title of “Company with the Best ESG Report and Strategy of Brazil”, given by IR Magazine Brazil. Regarded as one of the most expected by the investor relations group, the award recognizes the best environmental, social and corporate governance practices.

The recognition is the result of the evaluation of data supplied by the companies, which is done by a judging committee consisting of specialists from the Brazilian capital market. This year IR Magazine Brazil received 130 applicants for the 12 pre-defined categories.

In addition to being awarded the title of “Best ESG Report and Strategy”, WEG was also among the finalists in the categories: “Best IR Program, “Best CEO or CFO”, with the appointment of CFO André Luis Rodrigues, and “Best IR Officer”, with the appointment of Finance and IR Director, Paulo Geraldo Polezi.

The awarding ceremony took place last week, in São Paulo, during a simultaneous event sponsored by Bovespa.
