WEG was selected for the 5th consecutive time, as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). The WEGE3 shares will, from September 24, 2018 on, become part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index 2018 (DJSI-EM) portfolio.

Developed by Dow Jones and the RobecoSAM Group, the DJSI was the first global sustainability index to assess corporate sustainability considering economic, environmental and social development aspects. In 2018, the DJSI considered a number of 3504 companies worldwide, including the top 802 largest companies in the so-called Emerging Markets, among which 94 companies were selected and WEG is one of the 10 Brazilian companies included in this index.

Along the years, WEG has been implementing several initiatives on the sustainable area and being included in the DJSI-EM represents an important recognition from the capital market, strengthening the company´s performance as a component of the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) developed by B3.
