WEG was granted the Broadcast Empresas Award, prepared by Agência Estado in partnership with Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). The company was ranked 1st among the 204 companies, with shares traded on B3 (São Paulo Stock Exchange), which generated the best performance for shareholders. In addition, the company received special awards for Sustainability and New Market.
Companies with shares listed on the Stock Exchange and with shareholders' equity above R$10 million, with balance sheets released within the term provided by law and up to date with their creditors in the analyzed period have all participated in the award.
Already in its 22nd edition and held annually, the ranking evaluated seven indicators considered by investors and financial market experts: variation in equity profitability; payment of dividends in relation to equity; price/earnings ratio (PL); share price/book value (P/VPA); share price fluctuation; stock market volatility; and liquidity.
The result of the award was announced yesterday, June 30 in an online event through YouTube and LinkedIn of Agência Estado and Portal Estadão. WEG´s CEO, Harry Schmelzer Jr., represented the company at the event who commented about the recovery of the economy in the post-pandemic period, supply chain, energy efficiency and sustainability.
“We at WEG are very pleased to be on this list again, and this time, being honored with the top position of the ranking. I would like to dedicate this result to the engagement of all WEG employees in keeping the company on the path of growth, expanding the business continually towards the overseas market, new technologies and new businesses,” said Harry.
