WEG has just announced another electric mobility segment partnership. Within its strategy of becoming a benchmark in infrastructure solutions for charging electric vehicles in the country, now formalizes an agreement to launch the Jeep Compass 4xe, the brand's first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle in Brazil.
The agreement comprises the installation of WEG's WEMOB PARKING and WEMOB WALL types at JEEP's dealers in Brazil and the inclusion of these in the brand's product catalog, as well as technical support and installation of charging stations for JEEP 4xe customers all over the country.
Designed to provide practical operation for users with both indoor and outdoor installation, in garages or parking lots, the WEMOB (WEG Electric Mobility) line offers a modern and compact configuration.
Connected to the 7.4kW WALL type, the Jeep Compass 4xe fully recharges in 1h40, one of the fastest recharges among plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, providing a driving range of 44 km.
“Associated with Jeep, we are expanding our electric mobility market share and promoting the installation of charging stations throughout the country to give comfort to electric vehicle users in Brazil”, says Manfred Peter Johann, WEG Automation Managing Director.
WEMOB WALL is ideal for safe installation in homes and condominiums, in single-phase and two-phase networks, offering Wi-Fi connectivity, remote update (Over-The-Air), LED signaling and access control by RFID TAGs. This type also allows use with the EV Drivers application and provides energy measurement and power control functions for simultaneous charging of several electric vehicles through the WEMOB Smart Charging System. The PARKING type is ideal for parking lots with shared spaces in condominiums, companies and stores.
In Brazil, WEG is already the official supplier of charging stations for electric vehicles of the Stellantis Group brands: Fiat, Peugeot and Citroën. In Argentina the company has established a partnership with DS Automobiles.
