With three units in Brazil and two in Paraguay, The Inpasa Group has as a mission, to bring clean and sustainable solutions to meet the planet's growing demand for energy. The company is considered the largest corn ethanol producer in Latin America and also a major investor in power generation using biomass.
The group has invested in integrated solutions developed by WEG, mainly in turbogenerator sets that today total more than 230 MW of installed power, enough energy to supply a city with around 700 thousand inhabitants.
“The partnership between Inpasa and WEG has proven to be a successful strategic union. Industrial high availability is a constant pursuit for Inpasa, which has been making efforts to implement state-of-the-art technologies in its processes. In this way, the synergy between the engineering teams of both companies has provided fantastic results,” comments the Maintenance and Automation Director of the Inpasa Group, Itiel Cerkunvis Gonçalves.
In all, WEG has already supplied Inpasa with two 26.2 MW turbogenerator sets for the Dourados plant in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul (MS), one 23.2 MW turbogenerator set and one 43.7 MW turbogenerator set for the Nova Mutum plant, located in the state of Mato Grosso (MT). For the most recent application at the Sinop plant (MT), two sets of 57.3 MW turbogenerators were installed. The plant's target is 99% availability per year and requires equipment with a high degree of reliability and efficiency.
“In addition to the turbogenerators, we also deliver the control system, panels, transformers and electric motors. The entire execution of the project was monitored by WEG professionals, from conception to installation and start-up of the equipment”, highlighted Paulo Sinoti, WEG’s Energy Business Director.
By choosing WEG solutions, INPASA adds operational security to the various industries and the company's business. With this additional supply, WEG consolidates itself as an important supplier of solutions for corn ethanol plants and reaches the milestone of 2000 generators manufactured.
“The visit of Inpasa's management to WEG highlights the importance of this partnership. This technological reinforcement has helped us to consolidate the company as the largest corn producer in Latin America. The search for excellence in quality and productivity at Inpasa is constant and we are confident that the partnership with WEG will continue to drive the company to new levels of success”, states Itiel Cerkunvis Gonçalves.
During the visit, to celebrate the manufacture of the 2,000th generator, the company delivered a model of a turbogenerator set to the customer.
