The first stage of this contract will be completed in October 2006 and comprises 3 motors of frame size 1000 and rated at 4 MW, 16 Poles, 11 kV, 50 Hz and 3 motors of frame size 1600 rated at 12 MW,
18 poles, 11 kV, 50 Hz.
The second stage of the project is forecast in April 2007 and consists of 3 motors of frame size 1600 rated at 12 MW, 22poles, 11 kV, 50 Hz and 3 motors of frame size 1000 rated at 4 MW, 16 poles, 11 kV, 50 Hz.
The motors form part of the Bheema Government Project, where the intention is to irrigate an area of over than 800 million square meters affected by drought in the Mahaboobnagar district, state of Andhra Pradesh.
The high efficiency equipment being supplied, pumps the waters of the Beema and Krishna Rivers to water pumping stations which in turn irrigate the surrounding crops. This scheme will be beneficial to around 75% of the local population, whose survival depends on a sustainable agricultural industry.

Previously, the company had acquired 8 synchronous motors, 4 x 8.5 MW, 2 x 6 MW and 2 X 3 MW, used for pumping applications on other projects associated with the Godavari River.
