With the purpose of strengthening relationship with FLSmith, promote the WEG brand and consolidate the company as a global supplier of electric and electronic solutions for the industry with the supply of LV and MV motors and drives, WEG just held a specific event on May 13, 2019 at Hotel Novotel Vitacura, Santiago, Chile with the participation of FLSmidth´s technical and commercial personnel and WEG´s senior engineers.

FLSmidth is a global organization based in Copenhagen, Denmark. With almost 11,700 employees worldwide they provide global cement and mineral industries with factories, machinery, services and engineering.

Throughout the event, different technical lectures were presented highlighting major topics of interest such as applications of different types of large electric motors and special applications for mining and electrical system, medium voltage drives with voltage source technology using MV 6.6KV IGBT. Topics related to the most recent WEG developments LV motors with focus on implementing Industry 4.0 were also presented.

In addition to that, specific technical presentations were also made covering large applications for mining area such as ball mills, crushers and conveyor belts.

For WEG such event brings an in-depth understanding of the FLSmidth personnel, their products available for the mining segment and builds closer business relationship between the two companies.
