ADIPEC is the largest oil and gas show outside North America and provided the ideal platform for the public launch of the new W22X range of flameproof electric motors. The ATEX/IECEx certified motors offer the highest levels of safeguarding and created a large amount of interest thanks to the fact that they are designed to cope with the rigours of aggressive and explosive atmospheres, while also delivering high efficiency and low operating temperatures, making them ideal for increased reliability and safety in local applications.

WEG also demonstrated, ‘live on stand’, the latest generation of its CFW-11 variable speed drive system, which is suitable both for OEM applications and for retrofitting to existing applications, providing an energy efficient solution.

In addition to the product launches the company’s stand was designed to showcase WEG in the region; to raise its profile and demonstrate the technical competences of WEG as a Global Solutions provider to the Oil and Gas industry, and develop distribution channels within the Middle East. During the course of the event, WEG was also recognised by industry professionals and received thanks for sponsoring the Energy Industries Council (EIC) UK lounge.
