João Paulo Gualberto da Silva

Vice President of Energy

João Paulo Gualberto da Silva has Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC) and a postgraduate degree in International Business from Univille. It also has the Advanced Leadership course, conducted by the Georgia Tech College of Management, in Atlanta, United States.

His career includes experiences as a member of the Motors and Generators Committee of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, in Washington, United States. He is currently a member of the Wind Board of ABIMAQ - Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Industry.

At WEG since 1990, his career began as a sales analyst, and soon after, he became head of the Sales Section in Brazil. Over time, assumed the position of sales analyst in the United States. In 2007, he became Manager and Vice President of US Sales. Back in Brazil, the executive was Chief of New Energies (Wind and Solar) and is currently Chief Operating Officer of WEG Energy.
