Many products of the food industry travel several kilometers by road before actually reaching the dinner table. By train or by truck, transport of food and beverage all over Latin America is one of the services rendered by ALL – América Latina Logística – the largest rail-based logistics operator of the continent.
WEG coatings are present on both the locomotives and the railcars. The coatings protect the trains against the action of the weather, sun, humidity and also rain and winds of all strengths.
The coating supplied for the locomotives is the polyurethane, a coating easy to handle and with excellent hiding power, efficiency, adherence and leveling used for both internal and external environments. “The polyurethane coating is more robust with quality very similar to coatings for automobiles. The result is the exceptional aesthetics of our locomotives”, points out Giovani Bottega, operations analyst. “For the railcars, because they are great in number, we use the synthetic varnish mainly because of easy handling and efficiency”, explains Ricardo Alexandre, operations analyst at ALL.
Quality assured
After having been acquired by ALL, the WEG coatings go directly to the maintenance centers of the company located in the cities of Mafra (state of Santa Catarina), Curitiba and Ponta Grossa (state of Paraná), Santa Maria (state of Rio Grande do Sul) and Sorocaba, Araraquara and Rio Claro (state of São Paulo). The maintenance coating of the railcars and locomotives of América Latina Logística is done at these locations.
WEG Tintas has supplied ALL since 2007. “The products are of excellent quality and assured to be applied in our company”, says Analeia Luiza Pessini, of the ALL Supplies department.
