Although the show was held during a tumultuous time for the Queensland mining industry, as the state’s main mining sector (Coal) faces a serious downturn. QME still managed to attract a generous crowd, with hundreds of guests through the gates in the first hour.

WEG Australia was among 600 suppliers, showcasing their products over 40,000sqm. The aim of the day was to provide visitors with the latest in innovative solutions designed with one purpose in mind, eliminating inefficiencies, increase productivity and optimise mining operations while ensuring a safe work environment.

WEG used this opportunity to showcase some of its top industry products including the MVW-01 Medium Voltage Drive and the new W22 Ex-d which is set to be release shortly.

This year WEG Australia decided to showcase it products in a 6 x 6 meter designer stand complete with customised WEG branding, which helped WEG to stand out amongst some of the other major exhibitors

The Queensland Team (Tony Franzmann, Graham Aitken, Louis Chang, Kurt Seeberger, John Stewart and Barry Mallet) in addition to the Head office team Richard Walker, Fabio Brunatti and Ferdinand Deldio had a productive 3 day show, gathering and talking to potential customers ensuring that they got the WEG brand out into the mining industry.

“We are very proud of the professionally built stand we had at QME this year and would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved during the show”, said Fabio Brunatti.
