When one works with flexibility, the focus is to understand exactly what the customer needs and to offer a complete solution. This is the service rendering format that the Special Switches sales section of the WEG Automation unit has created to develop customized solutions for machine manufacturers.

The company has an exclusive team for Sales, Engineering and Assembly of panels for this segment. Everything to meet its partners’ needs with WEG complete solutions, speed and quality. In this partnership, WEG’s team joins the customer’s Engineering and Development team to analyze the applications of the machine and specify and suggest improvements to make the project feasible in both technical and commercial terms. After this first phase, a prototype is assembled and tested by the customer. When everything has been approved, WEG will begin the supply in series. “Our team is focused on understanding the needs of the customer and suggesting the best option for each application”, explains Manfred Johann, sales manager of the Automation unit.

Complete Partnership

An example of a successful partnership is Plasson which manufactures equipment and sells services for aviculture. The two companies came together with the purpose of standardizing the environment control panels and feeders, increase the reliability of the system, provide the ideal environment features and increase productivity in breeding chicken, and turkeys to the level of excellence.

The control panel developed for Plasson monitors and controls the ventilation circuits, temperature, humidity, lighting and lines of feeders, providing a better use of the feed ration, high productivity and a homogeneous fattening for slaughter.

“Our largest gain with WEG is the reliability in the product and the standardizing which we credit to the equipment. Besides that, it was possible to establish a weekly delivery schedule of the panels with gains in logistics and stock reduction”, says Gilberto Franke Hobold, general director at Plasson. “WEG’s flexibility was a great advantage in this partnership. At any moment whatsoever the company tried to impose its point of view. WEG was always careful to develop that which Plasson actually needed”, he completes.
