Two units of the WEG Group received the "Delivery Efficiency" award from Atlas Copco, a customer that is the market leader in the Compressors segment.

The Acionamentos, Switch Gears and Controls Division, and Automation units received the "Delivery Efficiency" award from Atlas Copco, a leading compressor manufacturer, and one of WEG Group's largest customers. The award is given to suppliers that reach an efficiency rating of 93%, or better. WEG Acionamentos, Switch Gears and Controls Division, supplying Atlas Copco with motor starters for boards and panels, achieved a 97% efficiency rating during the second semester of 2005.

Because the Machinery and Equipment Assembly industries place a great deal of importance on delivery efficiency and quality, WEG has a specialized area for the development and production of the Starters it supplies to these industries in order to meet customer requirements.

WEG Automation received the Delivery Efficiency award with a rating of 93%. Like WEG Acionamentos, Switch Gears and Controls Division, WEG Automation also has a dedicated production area to supply the large OEMs that utilize panels with variable frequency drives. "Reaching this level of delivery was a big challenge, since the panels are engineered and have characteristics based on European models supplied by the Atlas Copco Headquarters in Belgium. We are developing new lines of panels with variable frequency drives for Atlas and we hope to receive this award again in 2006", said Marcelo Palavani, WEG sales manager.
