The year 2023 ended on a high note with WEG Portugal featuring in the ranking of the Best and Largest Companies of 2023. The list, published by Exame magazine, considers the companies that have made the biggest impact on the economy in terms of their turnover.

For WEG Portugal, this achievement symbolises the commitment to excellence and the hard work of the entire team, combined with the trust of customers and partners. At regional level, of the companies based in Porto in its area of operation, WEG comes 3rd in the ranking.

This is the 34th consecutive year that EXAME magazine has x-rayed Portugal's largest companies, in partnership with Informa D&B and EY. The data refers to the last full financial year, 2022, which marked the return to normality of the economy after the pandemic. The indicators assessed were: turnover, employment, profits and exports.

It should be remembered that in 2024, the company will inaugurate its Industrial Park, located in the Parque Empresarial da Ermida, in Santo Tirso. With this industrial unit, WEG intends to respond to growth needs in the business areas of industrial motors, automation, technical services and laboratory testing, increasing production capacity and sustaining growth in turnover.
