This award-winning ″970 Reserva″ agricultural Madeiran rum with a pioneering underwater maturation and several international awards, follows still today a centenary recipe and is produced at Engenhos do Norte, in Porto da Cruz, the town of Machico, Madeira - Portugal.

Currently this is one of the few examples of distillery operating in the island and the only one in Europe with complete steam machinery that refers to the times of the Industrial Revolution. WEG is proud to have been selected a few years ago to help saving money with energy costs and maintenance with the supply of a modern state-of-the-art premium efficiency motor of W22 series with 75kW, 400V, 4 poles, whilst maintaining the iconic centuries-old production methods of this celebrated Madeiran Rum.
