Hilton José da Veiga Faria, HR and Corporate Affairs Director of WEG, received the Award on behalf of WEG CEO Harry Schmelzer Jr.

WEG was again the highlight of the Top of Mind Award of Santa Catarina, promoted by NSC Communication group, in partnership with Mapa Institute. WEG has been awarded for the eighth time in the category: Large Industry Company of Santa Catarina. In addition, Harry Schmelzer Jr., CEO of WEG, was named the Distinguished Industry Businessman for a third year.

The survey that served as the basis for the awards had the opinions of a thousand consumers and 150 executives from the 30 most populous municipalities in the state of Santa Catarina. As in previous years, the winners were split in two categories: Top Population, based on the survey done with the general population, and Top Executives, with those chosen by the survey conducted with the executives.

Among the Top Executive winners, in the general category, WEG was recognized as the Large Industry Company in Santa Catarina. 

The awards ceremony took place on July 5th in the auditorium of the Federation of Industries of the state of Santa Catarina (Fiesc), in Florianópolis, SC.

 Fernando Cardoso Garcia, Sales Director South America, received the Large Industry Company award on behalf of WEG.
