On 3 December 2024, WEG celebrated its integration with one of Türkiye's most established companies, Volt Electric Motors (Volt WEG Group), through a Unification Event. Organized under the theme "Together Better," the event brought employees and company leaders together. This occasion symbolized not just the merger of two companies but also a strong partnership for the future of the global industrial landscape.

The acquisition of Volt Electric Motors was officially announced on 12 September 2024, following the agreement signed between Saya Holding and WEG. As of 2 December 2024, Volt's management fully transitioned to WEG Group's control. Established in 1987, Volt boasts an annual production capacity of 1 million motors, holding a prominent position in the Turkish market. With this addition, WEG’s global production facilities have reached a total of 64.

This merger not only brings together two strong brands but also aligns perfectly with WEG Group’s strategy of diversifying and strengthening its industrial presence in the region. Additionally, Volt’s significant exports to strategic regions such as Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia underscore the importance of this partnership.

Rodrigo Fumo, Managing Director of WEG Industrial Motors stated that "At WEG, we will build a unified company spirit together with the talented workforce of Volt WEG Group. We will continue to pursue technical expertise and discipline in our international operations while enhancing our local customer focus. We are committed to fostering local leadership and maintaining our dedication to long-term investments. Because we believe that companies are united not by structures, but by people. Together, we will write a great success story."

Marco Antonio Campos, Managing Director of WEG Türkiye, highlighted the strategic importance of Volt’s location in İzmir: "İzmir is not only one of Türkiye's largest industrial and logistics hubs but also home to two major ports. This enhances WEG’s ability to access key markets such as Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa more quickly and efficiently, both by land and sea. This unification marks a significant milestone in WEG’s global growth strategy. With Volt Electric Motors joining us, WEG’s family in Türkiye has grown to 800 members. Together with the invaluable human resources of Volt WEG Group, we will enhance our production capacity and service quality in the electric motor industry."

Speaking to all employees at the event held on 3 December at the Volt Factory, Campos emphasized that this merger represents not just a commercial agreement but also a people-centric collaboration. He remarked: "Together with the experienced workforce of Volt WEG Group, we will continue to lead the industry by developing innovative products that focus on efficiency and sustainability. In this new chapter, we aim to add value to the industrial sector, both technologically and environmentally."

The integration of Volt Electric Motors into WEG is set to expand not only the product portfolio in industrial motors but also strengthen WEG’s presence as a key player in the region. Enhancing Volt’s existing capacity and empowering its employees professionally under WEG’s umbrella promise a prosperous future for both parties.

The impact of this union will be felt across a vast geography, from Türkiye to Europe and the Middle East. Together, WEG and Volt aim to create a strong synergy in the global industrial landscape.
