Regarded as a global electric and electronic equipment reference, with a focus on electric motors and drives, energy generators and transformers, products and systems for electrification, automation and digitalization, WEG was ranked among Exame Magazine's ESG Best Award, which recognizes companies for their best environmental, social and corporate governance initiatives in 17 different economy sectors.

Created in 2000, with the name EXAME Guide for Convenient Corporate Governance, the ESG´s Best is the main guide on conscious, more humanistic and inclusive capitalism, towards a circular and collaborative economy. To take part of the award, all companies went through a rigorous evaluation process developed by ABC Associates in conjunction of a team of journalists from EXAME. The ESG Best Award considered the main environmental, social and corporate governance practices, in addition to the companies' commitment to stakeholder capitalism in Brazil.

WEG was ranked among the three companies in the Capital Goods and Electronics sector. The Award Ceremony took place on June 24 in São Paulo, and WEG was represented by Hilton José da Veiga Faria, HR and Sustainability Director.
