WEG S.A., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electric-eletronic equipment, announced today its results for the second quarter of 2017 (2Q17).

2Q17 Highlights

• Net operating revenues were R$ 2,280.8 million in 2Q17, a 2.3% decrease from 2Q16 and a 6.9% increase from 1Q17;

• EBITDA reached R$ 370.6 million and EBITDA margin reached 16.2%, a 2.2 percentage point increase from 2Q16 and a 0.7 percentage point increase from 1Q17;

• Net Income totaled R$ 272.2 million, a 6.7% increase from 2Q16 and 5.6% increase from 1Q17. Net margin of 11.9% represented a 1.0 percentage point increase from 2Q16 and a 0.2 percentage point decrease from 1Q17;

• Investments in capacity expansion and modernization totaled R$ 123.0 million in the first half of 2017, 45% in industrial plants in Brazil and 55% in industrial facilities abroad.
