For the sixth consecutive year, WEG was one of the companies that won the “Innovation Brazil” Award granted by the financial newspaper Valor Econômico to the most innovative companies in the country. Among the 150 companies listed in the ranking, which is conducted in partnership with the Strategy& consulting firm of the PwC Group, WEG ranked 8th among the 10 leaders in the ranking.

The research evaluates, in a consistent and systematic way, the innovation practices of companies that do business in Brazil in different economic sectors.

"Competences of the Future" was the theme of this year's research, which analyzed the five pillars of the companies' innovation chain: initiatives for innovate, efforts to encourage innovation, results achieved, market evaluation and the knowledge generation process.

The awarding event was conducted digitally, due to the coronavirus pandemic situation, on September 17th, 2020. 

On the same event, Valor Econômico launched the 'Valor Inovação Brasil 2020' directory, which presents the ranking of the 150 most innovative companies in the country as well as papers about initiatives, investments and performance cases for the 10 most innovative and leading companies in each of the 23 sectors analyzed.
