This week, WEG received for the third consecutive year, the Company Leader of Brazil 2018 in Machinery and Equipment award, which is given by the Business Leaders Group - LIDE. Intended to honor companies and their leaders in various sectors of the economy, this award is a national recognition for the talent, management skills and commitment of those leaders who, even under tough economic scenario, have succeeded in business in the main economy sectors in Brazil such as: Agribusiness, Food, Architecture and Engineering, Communication, Construction, Electronics, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Logistics and Transportation, Machinery and Equipment, Steel and Mining, Pulp and Paper, among others.

The selection of companies awarded in this edition were made by the LIDE Management Committee, including businessmen and specialists from different economy sectors, taking into account the company growth, innovation, social responsibility, corporate initiatives, etc.

LIDE is a private organization that brings together businessmen from several countries since 2003 with the objective to promote and strengthen ethics, principles in corporate governance in Brazil and overseas, encourage business relations and raise awareness of private support for education, sustainability and social programs.

The award ceremony took place December 10th 2018 in São Paulo and was attended by the President of WEG, Harry Schmelzer Jr.
