WEG President, Harry Schmelzer Jr., will be one of the business leaders to attend the US-Brazil CEO Forum, announced by Brazil's Economy Minister Paulo Guedes and United States Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross.
Harry will be one of eight Brazilian representatives taking part of the Forum, which is intended to develop joint recommendations for both governments on how to increase trade and bilateral investments.
The Brazilian selected representatives are CEOs of the companies: Petrobras, Natura, Votorantim, WEG, Minerva Foods, Gerdau, Embraer and Stefanini. Additional members may be included, says Brazilian government staff.
On the US side, the CEOs of the following companies will be part of the Forum: Baxter International, Vermeer Corporation, The AES Corporation, The Mosaic Company, Seaborn Networks Holdings, International Paper, Amicus Capital Partners, Microcosm and Varian Medical Systems.
Both governments have scheduled the first meeting of the CEO Forum for the second half of 2019.
