"Our customers demand 24/7 performance from our compressor packages," said Jeffrey Sable, president of Kingsly Compression, Inc., which serves natural gas producers in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia. "That's why we have used WEG electric motors for the last 15 years to power our electric compressor equipment." We have built well over 400 compressor packages using WEG electric motors and will be taking delivery of a 2000 HP WEG motor next month for another compressor package.
Typical of the reliability that WEG driven compressors provide is the unit that was just returned from a customer after 6 years of around the clock production in Eastern Kentucky. (See photo below)
"This WEG-powered compressor provided more than 50,000 hours of around-the-clock performance, delivering about 1.3 million cubic feet of natural gas per day worth more than $10,000 per day," Sable said. "The only maintenance required was an hour every other month to change the oil to the compressor frame. And the unit is now refurbished and ready to go back into the field, to produce similar returns for a new customer."
