Geo-Systems specializes in the manufacture of pumping systems for use in geothermal heating and air conditioning equipment. They use three different types of motor control panels in their manufacturing processes. The company had been buying panels from a local panel shop out of convenience, and was about to begin producing their own panels in-house.

WEG proposed a solution to Geo-Systems that offered improved panel performance at a lower price than what they were paying for their previous panels. Geo-Systems was impressed with the support given by WEG Mexico's engineers during the quoting process, such as providing drawings, bills of materials, and other pertinent information. This was an important factor in developing a relationship with Geo-Systems, considering WEG wasn't as close as their previous supplier.

Trusting WEG would deliver as promised, Geo-Systems ordered sixty-one control panels. One week before the ship date, Geo-Systems requested two additional panels. WEG was able to manufacture the two panels in time to include them with their initial order. Sixty-three panels were shipped just six weeks after WEG received Geo-Systems purchase order.

Geo-Systems was ultimately very impressed with their WEG control panels, specifically with the quality of the wiring and mounting. The WEG panels were exactly what Geo-Systems expected they would be.

Pleased with their initial order, Geo-Systems will soon be ordering up to 200 more motor control panels. WEG is also preparing a quote for a more sophisticated control panel that meets Geo-Systems specific requirements.

WEG's new panel shop in Mexico enables the company to successfully support this type of high-volume production of standard-design control panels in a timely and cost-efficient manner for the North American market.
