WEG received the title of best investor relations program in the mega-cap category, awarded by IR Magazine Awards Brazil 2016. This prestigious award is highly considered within the community of investor relations, and recognizes excellence in transparency and communication with investors throughout Brazil.

The award is the result of an independent survey conducted by IR Magazine with over 250 analysts and investors to identify prominent IR professionals within Brazil. This research forms the basis of the award and is also one of the best references about IR activity in the entire country.

In addition to being awarded with the title of "best investor relations program", WEG was also included among the top four companies in the categories: "Best Corporate Governance", "most progress in investor relations (large and mega cap)" and "best investor relations executive (Large) ", naming Luis Fernando Moran Oliveira the Investor relations Manager of WEG, , in this category.

The award ceremony took place in São Paulo June 28, 2016, during a dinner of the 18th National Meeting of Investor Relations and Capital Markets.
