La comunidad local es una importante parte interesada, impactada por la presencia de una empresa. Impactos financieros, como generación de empleo y en la economía local, además de impactos físicos y ambientales, por la presencia de la empresa y sus actividades productivas, e impactos sociales, por influenciar la vida de sus colaboradores, así como de sus familias. Las comunidades locales impactan también en la empresa, por medio de las personas que la hacen operar.

WEG busca impactar positivamente en las comunidades locales donde está insertada.
La Política de Inversión Social, busca dar soporte a las propuestas de proyectos sociales, que traigan desarrollo en inclusión social, salud, educación y cultura, los cuales son importantes para estimular una sociedad más justa, con más oportunidades y calidad de vida para las personas.
Definiendo criterios y procedimientos para aplicación de recursos financieros, humanos y materiales en inversión Social, estableciendo relacionamiento con la comunidad, en acciones sociales, alineadas a nuestra Misión, Visión, Propósito y Valores de WEG.
