The Engineering Institute has awarded the title of Eminent Engineer of the Year since 1963, honoring professionals who stand out for their achievements and positive impact on the development of engineering. Décio da Silva was chosen for his enduring contribution to engineering and the Brazilian industry, highlighting WEG as an example of innovation and excellence.
Currently, in addition to leading WEG’s Board of Directors, Décio da Silva is a member of the WPA Board, an investment company and the parent company of the WEG Group, and is Chairman of the Board of Oxford Porcelanas, one of WPA’s controlled companies.
